The Risk module is a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative risk assessment tool that assists professionals in proactively evaluating and controlling risks in the workplace. A risk assessment can assist in job training, health and safety inspections, and accident investigations. An environmental analysis can assist in complying with ISO and other standards, laws, and environmental investigations.
The Risk module is available in the Occupational Health, Safety, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental suites. It allows users to:
Manage an inventory of jobs, including any legal requirements and links to exposure groups.
Identify similar exposure groups.
Prioritize control efforts.
Categorize and track risks over time to ensure control efforts are successful.
Better understand exposures with an integrated tool to view and manage both qualitative and quantitative data simultaneously.
The Risk Registry module helps organizations to document, track and respond to organizational risks in order to proactively address risks and maintain compliance with ISO risk assessment standards.
This chapter explains how to:
identify the jobs that require risk assessment (see Managing Your Job Inventory)
identify tasks and hazards for a job in order to calculate the risk factors (see Performing a Medical, Safety, Ergonomic, or Environmental Risk Assessment and Performing an Industrial Hygiene Risk Assessment).
link a risk assessment to an Industrial Hygiene survey (see Creating a Survey from a Risk Assessment Record
run statistical analysis on a specific Industrial Hygiene hazard (see Running Traditional and Bayesian Statistical Analysis).
evaluate the results (see Working with Risk Assessment Results).
manage organizational risks (see Using the Risk Registry to Manage Organizational Risks).
